Colonel Ronald L. Selvidge Jr. is the Wing Commander of the 134th Air Refueling Wing, McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base, Tennessee. He oversees the organization, training, and equipping of over 1,170 personnel and ten KC-135R aircraft to ensure mission readiness for Air Expeditionary Force (AEF) and global operations. He is responsible for managing an annual budget exceeding $50 million and provides mission assurance, command, and control for gaining Combatant Commanders. Additionally, the Wing supports the Air National Guard Training and Education Center.
Colonel Selvidge began his military career as an enlisted aircraft maintenance technician in the 134th Air Refueling Wing, Tennessee Air National Guard, in 1990. He earned his commission through the Academy of Military Science in 1997 and served as a KC-135 pilot. Throughout his career, he has held numerous leadership positions within the Operations and Maintenance Groups, including Commander of the 134th Operations Group and Deputy Wing Commander. Prior to his current position, he served as the Wing Commander 380th Air Expeditionary Wing, Al Dhafra AB, UAE.
Colonel Selvidge has deployed in support of multiple global operations, including missions in the European, Southwest Asia, and Pacific theaters. He is a command pilot with over 5,200 flying hours in the KC-135 and other aircraft.
