Participants in the 2024 International Junior Officers Leadership and Development (IJOLD) course work together to load their luggage on a 134th Air Refueling Wing KC-135R Stratotanker at McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base, Tenn., on Wednesday Aug. 14, 2024. The flight transitioned them from the first half of their program at the I.G. Brown Training and Education Center to Joint Base Andrews, Md., where they finished out their week-long visit. The United States, the Air National Guard, and the Air Force Reserve hosted the 30th IJOLD conference, welcoming dozens of junior officers from NATO nations to share leadership theories and best practices, as well as to foster interaction with other countries to gain a better understanding of different military cultures.
