COLONEL JASON M. BROCK

Colonel Jason M. Brock is currently assigned as Vice Commander, 134th Air Refueling Wing, McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base, Tennessee. He assists the Wing Commander with the organization, training, maintenance, and employment of 134 ARW personnel and equipment, enabling rapid global mobility through air refueling, airlift, and aeromedical evacuation in direct support of U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard missions.

Colonel Brock began his military career as an enlisted member serving as a Material Storage and Distribution Specialist in the 134th Resource Management Squadron.  After graduation from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, he was commissioned in 1998 through the Air National Guard Academy of Military Science.  Colonel Brock has served in a variety of assignments as a Logistics Readiness Officer and Maintenance Officer, commanding at the flight, squadron, and group levels.

Colonel Brock has deployed numerous times in support of multiple operations including ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, SOUTHERN WATCH, NORTHERN WATCH, JOINT GUARD and NOBLE EAGLE.  As Director of Staff, he supported multiple DOMOPs events such as Tennessee’s military response to the COVID-19 global pandemic, civil unrest missions, tornados and floods.

In 2008, Colonel Brock was selected to serve as Commander of the 134th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.  During his time as squadron commander, he served in a temporary capacity at the Air National Guard Readiness Center NGB/A4MY as acting KC-135 weapons system manager.  In addition to commanding the 134th Maintenance Group, Colonel Brock served as the Air National Guard KC-135 Maintenance Council Chair.

Prior to his selection as Vice Commander, 134th Air Refueling Wing, Colonel Brock served as Director of Staff at Joint Force Headquarters, Tennessee where he led the State Air Staff supporting three Wings, two geographically separated units and a headquarters element.
